Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a licence or Cert IV to become a loan processor?

No. Loan processors support a broker and don’t give credit advice, so you don’t need a credit licence or Cert IV to start - unlike becoming a broker. Always confirm current requirements with the MFAA, FBAA and ASIC.

Do I need a finance background?

No. The course is built for beginners. Attention to detail, organisation and a willingness to learn the systems matter far more than prior finance experience.

How much does it cost?

The course is an annual subscription of AU$499 per year (incl. GST), self-paced, with content kept current as the industry changes.

Can I work from home as a loan processor?

Often, yes - many Australian brokerages run remote or hybrid processing teams, which makes the role popular with people wanting flexible work.
